The Nantucket Litter Derby is back!
Over three and a half tons of litter was collected in just 5 hours by 24 teams during the first annual Nantucket Litter Derby in 2019. The mission of this annual grassroots event is to encourage community participation to address Nantucket’s litter as the population grows. The aim to raise awareness and to cultivate teamwork, friendly competition, and a shared responsibility in keeping the Island’s roadsides, beaches, and wild places litter-free.
