Town of Nantucket Waste Summit Sept. Follow Up Sessions

Discussing Compost Program and Waste Management Technologies in the Community Room.

The public is invited to comment on the future of managing solid waste on Nantucket.  The Town seeks feedback from all year-round residences, including seasonal residents, businesses, development contractors, tradespeople and private firms involved in waste collection and hauling, and all who share the Town’s goals for long-term sustainability for our beautiful island through stewardship of our land, air, and water resources.

The Town of Nantucket also encourages written comments.  Please email feedback to DPW@nantucket-ma.gov, using the subject line ‘Town Solid Waste System Comments’.  Or mail to the Department of Public Works, 188 Madaket Road, Nantucket, MA 02554.

On July 11, 2019, the Town of Nantucket, through its Department of Public Works held a Public Information Session on topics related to waste management and the Select Board’s Strategic Planning Framework goal of Environmental Leadership.  Streamed Live on NCTV’s channel 18.
